A few years ago I photographed the model above and asked her to use this red towel as a prop in any way she wanted. The photograph won a lot of awards and was exhibited in art galleries across the country, most recently at the Huntington Beach Art Center.
Reflecting back on that "RED TOWEL" series led to an inspiration. I am now working on a new project updating my original concept for 2021 and calling it "RED TOWEL REVISTED". This new work reflects the feelings and creativity of each woman as she and I work together to capture her unique beauty while maintaining a theme throughout the series using a simple red towel... or two.
As you can see, this original RED TOWEL photograph was taken in my studio. The RED TOWEL REVISTED project is different as I'm out of the studio and shooting in various locations in Southern California. I intend to make prints for gallery exhibition and publish a book of my work that will also include landscape and still life images by end of the fourth quarter of 2021. It's a ton of work but at this point I'm very excited over how it's going!
