Does an Artist Live Here?
# 445, Tucson, Arizona. I’m not one to interrupt anyone’s privacy by knocking on their door but many times after looking at this photograph, I wish I had. There are so many elements in this photograph that made me wonder if the person living at #445 was an artist. The color of the stucco, steps and the door work together really well. It’s a living color made to make one’s life better. It’s really different from our color palette here in Southern California. As some may know, most of the homes here are beige. From the air that beige blends right into the sand… architectural camouflage.
Why did I think anyone lived here at all? That tin can next to the steps was full of cigarette butts.
