How I got the Photo Bug
I came across this photograph in the process of moving. I was surprised to find it as it was made to fulfill an assignment in a Photography 102 course I had taken at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse University.
I'll thank Frank Hoy, my professor, for infecting me with the photography bug that is so hard to shake off, it turns out. Frank passed a few years ago and this photograph reminds me of those times and especially his encouragement for me to become a photographer. Since I didn't think that was possible, I went on to earn a BS and MS in Counseling at S.U. Frank was a visionary in more ways than one, it seems. I became a fine art photographer a few years later.
