Pidgeons on a Pole
Antique shops have always been very interesting to me. I'm not a collector but I will buy something that inspires me in some way. I learned that going through the shops looking for a particular thing will most likely end up frustrating me. If I go in with an open mind I usually find something I like.
For me, photography is often like that. I was out on this day trying to extend an ongoing series of landscapes when I heard the sound of wings fluttering over my head. It was roosting time for this flock of pidgeons and I was able to swing around and capture this shot as the last bird was about to land. It wasn't what I was after but I like this shot a lot.
